Description

X1 Cocker spaniel She’s being re-homed as we are unable to provide the attention and care she needs. I take full responsibility for not investigating her breed before we purchased her over 15 months ago. 1. Very very energetic 2. Very protective of her owner. 3. Demands aLOT of attention 4. Demands & needs a great deal of physical and emotional attention and interaction. 5. 2-3 walks a day 6. Very impulsive behaviour (not aggressive but will zoomie run from sleep mode in 1-2 seconds without warning!) 7. Super intelligent to what’s going on & will always get involved with things that are none of her business! 8. Dosent like ‘sharing’ her owners. My husband & I have been all but separated since we got her. 🫣 … she will jump in the middle of us anytime we try to hug / hold hands / cuddle! She demands centre of attention at all times! I’ve advertised her before & received the most stupid responses… so let me make this clear:- - she is NOT a lap dog to sit with a frail, elderly person! She’s WILD IN ENERGY & SHE NEEDS SOMEONE TO KERP HER UNDER CONTROL! - She is not a dog that will sit still for 8/9 hours a day while owner is at work. - she needs as much emotional and physical therapy as can gain be given. - I’d not be able to say if she can mix with other animals as we don’t have any. I do know she’s very sensitive to any coming near me when we walk her! - She is a puppy still and she’s a Cocker Spaniel so she needs ATTENTION AND LOTS OF IT! - she still chews / bites / wrecks toys we have got her. She is very good with catch & recall … very good in fact. - if you’ve given her something, don’t ever ever expect it back 🤦🏻‍♀️! - a cage will come with her which I recommend for night times as she does sleep very well from 23.00 - 07.30 every night now! It’s her ‘leave me alone area’. - when she’s in her cage, I’ve learnt never to put my hands in to try & remove any thing such as blankets / bedding as it’s not the best move given her protective nature, again if it’s given to her, it’s HERS! I take things out when she’s not looking. Food We’ve tried all puppy food brands and she’s been fine in them all. She tolerates raw dog food really well too. The only food we have seen her react to is fish or fish based produce. Avoid ALL fish items. Also avoid any dairy produce as this has given get the squits. Behaviour Again I make this very very clear. She’s a super active high energy dog who demands naturally lots of attention and physical and emotional input. She’s not bitten us and she’s not been aggressive. She’s just been very very determined and is Equius stubborn when she thinks something is right, it’s right. She needs someone that can effectively and carefully manage and control her behaviour and she will not be a dog suitable for sitting by his side all day please please don’t think this is suitable for her. I will expect to see your home and expect to have a little bit of background about you before any interaction is involved on her meeting you. She is very very owner protective and if you come near me, she may seem a little excited and a little bit aggressive that’s how she’s always been for some reason since we’ve got her. She does come round of course she does. We come from a very big family and eventually she’s got to know everybody’s but please on an initial contact with her be reminded that she may become a little bit ‘who the hell are you’ towards you. I am more than happy to bring her out to you, Hampshire area only… I think that’s probably the best move to start with, to make sure you’ve a suitable home / environment …. because I don’t want to waste your time & most importantly, I don’t want her being put through another rehoming process, so for all the reasons that suits her, it has to be right from the onset. I was honest on my last ad and I’m equally honest on this advert for her. I just want to put a few things straight on the second one because seriously there’s some of the questions and enquiries I’ve had was as if I’d not even put essential points about her adoption on the first advert is as if the people weren’t even reading what I was saying. Again she is not someone that’s suitable for anybody that’s frail she would pull them over pushing them over and be totally a risk to someone that can’t control her. She needs lots of attention she needs walks. She needs emotional interaction and she just needs really really good love and spoiling treated like a child treat a lucky young teenager which in effect is what she is. And do not, please do not tell me you’re thinking of breeding her because this will not go down well with me. She needs to home for a pet, not a financial turnover ….. she needs to be treated like a child & she needs to be given the opportunity to live with the natural demands she requires. She has absolutely no known health health problems. Very beautiful hair (not fur) She’s been taken to the vets regularly since we’ve had her for tick & flea treatment. We purchased one of the pets at home packages, which includes quarterly flea & tick treatment & her annual jabs. Which will be due very soon. This costs us £18 a month for absolutely everything and I highly recommend it. Hope this all makes sense this time round???!!!!
