I attempted to re-home him before, but due to personal reasons we had to prolong it. So we are trying again, and hoping we can find the perfect home. It's with a heavy heart and great sadness that I have to put our sweet Milo up for adoption. Due to no fault of his own, Milo is looking for a new forever home. We took Milo in from a lovely family who couldn't care for him anymore last year, and unfortunately we are now facing the same. Milo is sweet, cuddly and is just happy to be alive. You can look at him, and he'll wag his tail. Milo is excited and always determined to explore the world. This has caused him to be a dog that pulls on the leash. After some time training him, he has gotten a little better. As long as you have food or treats, his heel is forever improving. However, it definitely needs more work. Milo can get over excited, and so he will jump and try to get to your face for kisses. I would personally say he is NOT okay living with small children, this is due to a habit he developed with his previous owners of playfully biting chins. He never means to hurt, but I believe children may find this scary. We do try to discourage this behaviour, but we are told it's something he's done since a puppy, so it'll need work. Milo can be left alone for short periods of times. He would much prefer someone to be home as much as possible, or at least someone who will pop in when the owners workwork. Milo needs a strong person to handle him on the leash, however clipping his leash at the front and back of his harness has helped a lot. Milo will need patience, calm and encouragement to learn new things as he gets very excited and this can cause him to not focus. Milo is very food motivated. His call is near excellent. He only may not come back if he's found a very good scent that he's sniffing in the grass or if he's looking for his ball. Milo filled a hole we didn't realise there was. He helped my puppy to learn to play and to be confident. My golden retriever will miss him so much. He's so attached to Milo, he cries when he comes home and Milo isn't here. They're best friends. It breaks my heart to have to separate them but Milo is the newest and he deserves better because I can't handle both boys solo. Milo's main owner, unfortunately can't handle his pulling as she's been pulled over and is currently going through chemo. It's just not fair on Milo. We love Milo, very much. This means we will want to see some pictures or videos of the house. ensure you can financially take care of Milo and do a meet up to see how you get along with Milo. Milo is good with other dogs, however caution must be taken. Small dogs have a fixation on Milos male parts and always want to sniff and lick that spot. We took Milo to the vet, did tests and everything was normal so we aren't sure why smaller dogs are reacting this way. Milo can be intimidating when he tells other dogs to back off. He would much rather ignore the dog and chase a ball, but sometimes smaller dogs can be too much and will need to be removed from his space. Small dogs have a thing for humping milo, and this has caused him a lot of stress. Milo will come with treats, a bed, toys, wildways dog food and his Harrington's wet food, harness, leash, collar and anything else he has.
