Description
Barley the dog.
Due to change in work and growing family Barley is need of a good home where he can get the time and play he deserves. Unfortunately the time we can give has gone down.
He needs and experienced owner that is strong and caring
He is brilliant in the house, very affectionate and gives a great sense of safety. He’s always eager to play fetch, although not the quickest to leave it for you to throw it again! He Will play all day no problem.
He’s been around a young child from the child’s birth to the current age of 1 and has always been gentle. He’s been introduced to children and adults and is quick to become friendly and familiar
An experienced owner is required as he is reactive to dogs out on walks. And is kept to the side when passing strangers unless he is properly introduced to them. Walking in consistently close proximity to dogs is avoided due to his reactivity.
He is always introduced to people before being in contact, he’s not an aggressive dog towards people but is uncomfortable if strangers reach out.
He’s had training and reacted brilliant to it. Picking up heel, sit, lie, come and more but needs the time given to him to expand and consolidate this.
We are reluctant to give Barley up but know it’s best for him and our family. I’m happy to talk through everything anyone would need to know and ensure the match is right for the new owner and for Barley
