Stitch - £250 | Milo - £150
Sadly, due to university and changing house arrangements, I have made the difficult decision to rehome my two chinchillas, Stitch and Milo. This is through no fault of their own, I adore them and wish I could keep them but chinchillas require a lot of time, attention and engagement so I must prioritise their welfare.
PLEASE NOTE: they are being rehomed separately. I have attempted twice over the past 3 years to bond them, after being introduced the second time they had a fight and needed to be separated permanently.
🐭STITCH - £250
Approx 4 years old | Standard/Sterling Grey
- Owned since he was 6 months old
- Very sweet and inquisitive
- Well handled from a young age
- Surprisingly tolerant of being picked up and held for a chinchilla
- Very explorative and loves his out-of-cage time
- Always comes straight to the cage door to greet you
- A really friendly sociable little character
- Would NOT suit living with another chinchilla, prefers exploring time and human engagement rather than another chinchilla
🐹MILO - £150
Approx 5 years old | Beige with Ruby Eyes
- Owned since he was 18 months old
- Naturally much shyer and more apprehensive than Stitch
- Came to me extremely nervous and wouldn’t allow handling
- Has made huge progress, once he trusts you he will happily approach you and spend time near you
- Does not enjoy being picked up or held
- Needs someone calm and patient to interact with him on his own terms
- I believe Milo can live with another chinchilla provided introduction is done correctly
🏡 FULL SET UP INCLUDED WITH EACH BOY
They each have their own cage and set up, which will go with them to their new homes. Each home includes:
- Cage
- Wooden ledges
- Hammocks
- Food bowls/Water bottles
- Other chinchilla supplies
I will supply food and hay with them too for the transition.
GOOD HOMES ARE A MUST!!
Chinchillas are exotic pets and are a long term commitment living up to 15-20 years! They need regular interaction, enrichment and SAFE out of cage exercise. They require exotic vets if they become unwell. Chinchillas need cold climates to live and therefore you would need AC or other means to provide a cooler environment to support this, especially during this summer heat!
Neither boy has any known health problems and both are currently happy and healthy.
