Description

Our beautiful boy has flown to foster and is currently in foster in North Yorkshire looking for his forever home . He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated This is what his foster mum says about him Taz is a very loving, playful and inquisitive boy! He is a good boy on the lead. He tends to walk by your side on slip lead, he still gets a little nervous of vehicles when walking close to a road but it’s just reassurance he’s ok and he will carry on. He likes to be on the extendible lead so he can run with his foster brothers. He has been off lead twice so far, the first time he played with our dogs for 10 minutes and was put back on. I left him a bit longer last time and he saw a pheasant and chased it into the next field. He was answering to his name but kept getting distracted by different smells in the hedge - I’m sure this will improve with practice, he is a very intelligent dog and is keen to learn. He knows the follow commands: sit, give paw, high five, and up.. Taz absolutely loves people and being around people and giving his love to people! He is a very person centred dog. He can jump up, especially when you come home or new people walk in, this is still a work in progress but when told no or down he is listening more each time. He has been around children as young as 9 whilst been with us, so cannot comment on smaller children as yet. Cats unknown, he has met the resident tortoises and was inquisitive but didn’t show any aggression towards them. He is doing well with house training. He is generally going outside throughout the day and night, he has the occasional accident but have learnt to make him stay outside a little longer as sometimes he will just sit at the door then come back in. Taz is not crate trained, he does have one and it is always open but he chooses not to utilise this at the moment. On a night time he will escort you to bed, he likes to then sleep on the landing or he will go back downstairs to the sofa. He sleeps well on a night and will arise whenever you arise really. He hasn’t been left for more than 3 hours so far. He does like to have something to chew on so a good strong toy or 2 often helps. He is also with the other 3 dogs when his people are out, so I’m not sure what he would be like if he was completely on his own. He has no known health issues. He is starting to wait his turn such for a treat, he needs reminding not to jump up when excited. But he doesn’t snatch, he is very gentle when taking treats or anything else really. He is learning quickly how to behave in the home and I’m sure it won’t take him long to be a lovely addition to his adoptive family
