❤️4 years old | Loving | Loyal | Playful | Full of personality ❤️ With a very heavy heart, we are looking for the perfect new home for our beautiful girl, Poppy. Poppy is a 4-year-old KC Registered Working Cocker Spaniel who is genuinely one of the funniest, most loving dogs you could ever meet. She has an absolutely wonderful personality and is the type of dog who wants to be right by your side — following you around the house, keeping you company and, given the choice, curled up on the sofa having cuddles with you! 🥰 She has been trained to a basic level and knows sit, wait, and whistle recall. She has also had experience being introduced to working, but Poppy is what you could affectionately call a “failed gundog” 😂. She has shown anxious tendencies, and we don't feel she would be suited to working on a shoot. In reality, Poppy would much rather be your best friend and sofa companion! ❤️ Poppy is: Extremely loving and loyal Very affectionate and loves cuddles Hilariously funny and full of character Extremely playful Fantastic with children Great with other dogs Happy living with other dogs or as an only dog Trained to sit, wait, and whistle recall A real people-dog who loves human company She absolutely adores children and is brilliant around them. She is also extremely playful with other dogs and would happily live in a home with canine companions, although this isn't essential. Sadly, due to unforeseen changes in our circumstances, my wife has had to return to work full time. This has been incredibly difficult for Poppy because, since the day she was born, she has never been used to being without human company every day. Although she has our other Cocker Spaniels for company and they are perfectly happy, Poppy is becoming increasingly distressed when the house is empty. She can become upset, bark, cry, and shake, and it is becoming very clear to us that she needs a home where she can have the human companionship she has always been accustomed to. 💔 This is absolutely not a decision we have taken lightly. We love Poppy dearly, and our priority is finding her a home where she will be genuinely happy and get the time, attention, and companionship she needs. We would particularly like to find her a loving home where someone is home for most of the day, or where she would have minimal time alone. She could happily live: 🐾 With other dogs 🐾 As an only dog 🐾 With children 🐾 Without children We are very happy to consider each potential home individually because, ultimately, it's about finding the right person and the right environment for Poppy. Poppy is KC Registered, wormed, flea-treated, and currently fed on Royal Canin Professional dry food. She really is a special girl and deserves a home where she can be someone's shadow, best friend, and permanent sofa companion. ❤️ Please only enquire if you are genuinely able to offer Poppy the time and companionship she needs.
