Description
Unfortunately due to a mixture of circumstances changing such as development of allergies, and life circumstances (newborn baby) along with already having 2 children and not been able to give him the full time he requires for his breed. I am looking to re-home our 7 year old Golden Labrador retriever.
Our dog is named Marley, and was born on 25th May 2019 in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. He was the chunkiest of the litter of puppies. During this time we saw the mother who was a chocolate brown Labrador, but did not see the father of Marley, but his father was from a working line background.
Marley weighs just under 40kg and for his age he is still very energetic and outgoing, after a long walk he would be raring to go soon again after. Marley has not been neutered, and remains intact, Marley has never been used for breeding or studding purposes.
Marley has not been brought up with any other pets therefore would need to be rehomed to a family who have no pets to ensure smooth rehoming, although Marley is friendly with other animals (dogs).
He is wary and reluctant of cats.
Marley has been brought up for majority of his life around young children. We have a 6 year old, 3 year old and a newborn baby and we have never been concerned about having Marley around our children.
Marley is a very friendly, energetic and outgoing dog and would need to be placed with someone who is going to be able to handle his large size/weight and accommodate the needs of his breed.
Marley would need an enclosed large garden area.
Marley isn't often left home alone there is normally at least one of us at home, and when there isn't it is only for a couple of hours where he's left alone.
Marley is up to date with his flea and worm treatment, and has also recently had his vaccination booster, it would not be due again till 2027. Documentation will be provided for this. Marley is microchipped and this will be transferred to new owner when an adoption is agreed.
Marley was last health checked at his vaccination booster appointment and the vet was very satisfied with Marley's health and Marley's teeth for his age.
To ensure Marley goes to a good and loving home as he goes into his senior years, and to give me reassurance he does, I am requesting an adoption fee of £500. I will also need to conduct a visit of your home with Marley to ensure all is satisfactory.
