• Females are highly social and must be kept in groups, ideally 3 or more.
• Males are territorial and must be housed alone unless neutered. With appropriate introductions, neutered males can live with females.
• Entire males can also be successfully kept with African soft fur rats for companionship (experienced homes only).
• Mice require a secure enclosure, enrichment, and daily interaction.
