I bought the baby a week ago, paid £1500 from a breeder. Unfortunately the rest of my family are just not warming up to him which is causing alot of tension and drama within the household.
Parrot is still a baby, constantly babbling, vocal and really trying hard to say words, has been trying to say hello/hi for a few days now. When alone in a room, baby can be heard talking like a human toddler!
He loves eating fresh chop - sweetcorn, carrots and green peas which I feed him twice a day for breakfast and dinner. During the day he loves to eat apples alongside pellets which i leave out all day for him to nibble on.
Baby is 99% weaned but still gets a comfort feed of formula just before bed which will continue for another week or so. This is no longer given by a syringe, instead, I prepare and give it to baby in usual eating bowl which it gobbles up independently an hour before bedtime.
Baby sleeps for 12 hours a day in a dark, quite room - 8pm to 8am in a small sleeping cage. Happy to sleep in the main cage covered up with a blanet, but untimately has the best sleep when in the sleeping cage somewhere with total darkness and no household noise.
Baby is hand tamed and cuddly, loves getting his head scratched. Baby enjoys lots of time out of the main cage and will always fly over to you for closeness, cuddles and conversations. Very confident and not shy at all towards people of all ages including young toddlers. Baby will go to anyone, let anyone touch him and handle him. Baby loves to watch cartoons, especially Masha & the bear, and Barney & friends.
I'm honestly gutted it's not working out in my house and would like to find him a new home where baby will be loved and celebrated by everyone.
I've already spent quite abit of money on him, £1500 to get him, another £110 on a large cage which opens at the top with a playtop perch, £44 on a small sleeping cage, £18 on 2kg nutri pellet food and £50 on toys. I've also got plenty of hand feeding formula left which was given to me by the breeder, enough for 2 months.
Asking for £1200 for baby with all it's belongings mentioned above. Serious enquiries only please. No cites certificate available as breeder did not provide one.
