We are delighted to introduce a very special litter of kittens from our beautiful Russian Blue, Purple, and our gorgeous flame point Ragdoll, Frank. All are happy and healthy, eating well (wet and dry food), drinking well and fully litter trained. I affectionately call their kittens my “Russian Dolls” — Russian Blue × Ragdoll. This isn't the name of an official or recognised breed, and the kittens are not being advertised as pedigree cats themselves. It is simply the affectionate name I have come to use for this lovely cross. And, having now experienced these kittens for myself, I can genuinely say that they are some of the friendliest cats with the most unique little personalities I have ever come across. Mum – Purple 💜 Purple is my beautiful Russian Blue, who originally cost £900. She is incredibly friendly, intelligent and interactive and, in many ways, acts more like a little dog than a cat! Russian Blues can even be taught games such as fetch, and Purple has that wonderfully curious, engaged nature that makes you feel as though you're living with a little companion rather than simply owning a cat. She is full of personality, very involved with whatever is going on around her, and has been a wonderful mum to her babies. Dad – Frank 🤍 Frank, who originally cost £450, is our gorgeous flame point Ragdoll and is every bit as lovable as you would expect from a Ragdoll — but he is also absolutely hilarious. He can be incredibly chilled-out and relaxed one minute and a complete character the next. He has that lovely, gentle Ragdoll nature, but there is nothing boring about him! He is funny, affectionate and has a huge personality of his own. Why pay more for a “Russian Doll”? For me, the really special thing about these kittens isn't simply how they look — although they are very cute! — it's the combination of the wonderful temperaments associated with two much-loved pedigree breeds, the Russian Blue and the Ragdoll, along with little flashes of resemblance to the personalities of my own babies, Purple and Frank. The litter has produced a wonderful variety of kittens. Some have inherited features that make their Russian Blue heritage much more apparent, while some have also acquired touches of Frank's flame colouring, with traces of ginger appearing in their markings. Others may initially look more like what someone might call a “regular” kitten — but please don't mistake a more familiar coat colour or appearance for an ordinary personality. Prices range from £250–£700, depending largely on the extent to which each kitten's appearance resembles their pedigree parents. For context, I bought Purple for £900 and Frank for £450. I appreciate that this might still sound expensive for a mixed-breed kitten, but these aren't your average moggies! They come from two beautiful pedigree parents with wonderful temperaments, and the resulting kittens really are something special. Personally, though, I think every one of them is special, regardless of appearance or price. They are incredibly loving, friendly and characterful little companions and have been raised in our home with lots of love.
