We are looking to rehome a very independent, neutered male cat to a safe, rural outdoor home such as a farm, smallholding, stable yard, or livery.He is entirely human-shy and behaves like a feral or semi-feral working cat. He is deeply uncomfortable with being handled, petted, or kept indoors, and he prefers to spend his time outside. Currently, he only returns to our property to eat before heading back out. Because a traditional indoor home would cause him immense stress, he is the perfect candidate for an outdoor "working" role.He has an excellent hunting instinct, a healthy appetite, and would make a fantastic natural deterrent for rodents around hay lofts, feed rooms, or barns.What he needs from his new home:Confinement: A secure, escape-proof indoor space (like a secure tack room, enclosed barn, or large pen) where he can be safely locked away for the first 3 to 4 weeks. This is absolutely vital so he can adjust to the new smells and learn where his food is before being released.Daily Care: A dedicated owner who will still provide daily meals and fresh water (he cannot survive on mice alone!).Shelter: Access to a dry, weatherproof shelter to sleep in.We love him dearly and want him to live his best life in an environment that truly suits his wild nature. We would like to drop him off at his new home to ensure he transitions safely into his temporary confinement area.If you have a working yard or farm in Kent and could offer him a safe patch to patrol, please get in touch.
