Description
We have a beautiful litter of Golden Retriever puppies, raised here at Wootton Fields, our five-star licensed breeding establishment in Shropshire.
We currently have three boys and one girl available.
These are exceptionally lovely, strong and healthy puppies with wonderful Golden Retriever temperaments. They are happy, affectionate and cuddly, adore people, and have been handled and loved from the beginning.
Some are more outgoing and adventurous, while others are quieter, thoughtful and particularly cuddly. All are very people-oriented and have developed into confident, delightful young puppies.
A Family Affair
Wootton Fields is very much a family affair. Sophie and Dave are at home and fully involved in caring for the puppies, and we genuinely feel that we have the best jobs in the world.
I am a retired nurse and love spending time playing with and caring for the puppies. Everyone gets involved, including our grandchildren who add plenty of fun, affection and personality to their daily lives.
The puppies benefit from gentle handling, attention and interaction with different members of the family, helping them become confident and well-socialised.
Health Comes first:
For us, breeding starts with health.
Both Mum and Dad are extensively health and laboratory tested. We deliberately selected parents with excellent health results and lovely Golden Retriever temperaments.
Mum’s health testing includes:
● BVA/KC hips: 6/3 – total 9
● BVA/KC elbows: 0/0
● DNA GR-PRA1: Hereditary Clear
● DNA GR-PRA2: Hereditary Clear
● Low inbreeding coefficient of approximately 2.0%, compared with a breed average of around 6.4%
Dad’s health testing includes:
● BVA/KC hips: 8/7 – total 15
● BVA/KC elbows: 0/0
● DNA GR-PRA1: Clear
● DNA GR-PRA2: Clear
● DNA Ichthyosis ICT-A: Clear
Full details and copies of the parents’ health and DNA information are provided with every puppy.
Kennel Club Registration
Kennel Club registration has been applied for and is currently awaiting processing. The registration paperwork will be provided once it has been received.
A Little More Time With Mum
We have deliberately kept these puppies with us a little longer rather than rushing them into their new homes.
This has allowed them to continue developing naturally with Mum, wean gradually rather than abruptly, learn from their mother and littermates, and benefit from additional handling, socialisation and confidence-building.
That extra time at this age is enormously valuable.
Their Care and Daily Routine
The puppies have been wormed regularly from two weeks of age as part of a carefully managed worming programme.
They are currently fed four times a day. Their meals include a little meat to make them especially appetising, together with salmon oil as a supplement to support their coats and joints.
They are also being introduced to good early puppy habits, including toilet training and following a consistent daily routine. Their progress and routine are recorded in detail so that their new families can continue what they are already doing successfully.

The Wootton Fields Puppy Portfolio is a comprehensive record of the care each puppy has received. It includes details of their feeding, routine, worming, development, toilet training and general progress.
We put a great deal of care into this information because it helps make the move into a new home less of a shock for the puppy. Families can follow the routine the puppy already knows, helping them settle more easily and continue doing well during those important first days and weeks.
Our puppies are raised with considerable human interaction and are accustomed to normal everyday household and countryside life.
They are fed carefully, handled extensively and given the opportunity to grow into happy, confident young dogs before leaving us.
Their Temperaments
These really are delightful, strong puppies.
They are affectionate, interested in people and extremely loving. They enjoy being picked up and cuddled and will happily come and sit with you, while also showing the lovely, playful Golden Retriever enthusiasm for life.
There is a mixture of characters within the litter: some are more adventurous and outgoing, while others are particularly cuddly and thoughtful. All have the wonderful, gentle Golden Retriever nature we value so highly.
We are looking for loving, permanent homes where these puppies will genuinely become part of the family.
We are always happy to talk to prospective families about their home, lifestyle and what they are looking for in a dog. We prefer homes where people are available for their pets, work from home or have cover and have experience of owning family pets in their lives.
Thank you
Annie and family
