It is with a genuinely heavy heart that we are looking for a very special new home for Diesel due to a shift in career focus towards the game farm side of the shooting industry. As we will no longer require the same number, we are making the difficult decision to reduce our team of trained working dogs.
Diesel is a beautifully natured, talented working Golden Retriever with the softest and most affectionate temperament. He is extremely submissive, calm, and easy to have around — an absolute “marshmallow” of a dog — and would suit either a knowledgeable working home or an active pet home wanting an exceptionally well-trained companion.
Diesel has had an Extensive amount of time invested into his training, he has been trained to a very high standard in the field and has experience both on peg work and picking up. He has also had the absolute best start to life, having been brought up by a former head keeper who now manages a game farm and working dog training service. All foundations are firmly in place and he could easily continue progressing with someone wanting to take him further. Equally, he would happily slot into family life due to his gentle and sensible nature. He is steady, mannerly, and eager to please without being over the top.
He is a proven stud dog, having successfully sired 4 litters, however he is not overly dominant, boisterous, or “randy” in temperament. We are now unable to use him ourselves moving forward as our younger line carries his bloodlines and he will become father/grandfather to the dogs we are retaining.
Very impressively, Diesel is one of only three known Golden Retriever stud dogs in the UK with:• 0/0 Hip Scores• 0/0 Elbow Scores• Full DNA Clear Health Testing• Current Eye Testing
All from exceptional, proven working breeding lines.
Diesel lived in the house as a puppy and was fully house trained. He is also exceptionally clean and tidy in his kennel and would happily adapt to either home living or kennel life.
This is truly an opportunity not to be missed for someone wanting a fully trained, ready-to-go, fully health tested dog with an exceptional temperament and proven ability at a great age with many happy years to come. He will leave with no endorsements in place, and whilst we would potentially be interested in discussing access to a future puppy should he continue to be used occasionally as a stud to retain his breeding within our line, we do not want this to be his sole purpose or for him to go to a primarily breeding-focused home. He is far too accomplished, genuine, and wonderful in temperament to simply be kept as a stud dog.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly and finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale. We would ideally love a home where he will continue to be enjoyed, appreciated, and used to his full potential. We would also really like to stay in touch and receive updates as he is a much-loved dog here.

Jilly was wonderful from the start. She responded quickly to my initial enquiry and was on hand to answer any questions we had. We were so grateful to be able to visit our puppy later one evening and Jilly shared so much information with us that we left feeling extremely happy with our choice of breeder and excited to bring our new family member home a few days later. Upon collection, our puppy came home with a bundle of goodies that enabled us to give her the best start at settling in. Both Jilly and Liam gave us brilliant advice before leaving and were very kind to continue to offer advice and support if needed in the future.
