Were sadly looking to rehome our 2 year old English Bulldog cross Rottweiler. Rocco is a super loving dog, he loves any fuss and attention, long walks and playing fetch. He’s super happy, giddy and good fun. He has a lot of energy and needs a lot of exercise and as I work at home he isn’t used to being left for longer than a few hours at a time. He is big and strong and can be boisterous, he can jump up and get giddy however he’s responding well to training to help with this. He did puppy training and will heal, sit and lay down, bring back a ball and has been working on recall however has a long way to go. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body and is a great big dafty and this can sometimes mean he doesn’t read the social queues from other dogs which can lead to tension and frustration from the other dog, never from Rocco he just constantly wants to play which means he can get himself into some sticky situations. He currently lives with other dogs however would be better suited to being an only dog with a good social life. He currently lives with children and would be okay in a home with older children (12+) however we wouldn’t feel comfortable rehoming him with younger children due to him truly believing he’s the size of a hamster. He currently lives on a farm with animals but he does think they are all his personal squeaky toys so wouldn’t be well suited to another farm environment but a big garden for him to run around would be great and some form of outdoor space would be essential. He can be timid, the Hoover is terrifying and he needs a confident owner who can fill him with confidence too. He needs someone looking for a best friend, who has the time and energy to work with him and show him love and patience, he will be the loyalist and most loving companion. He definitely responds better to a male presence and experience with his breeds or big breed in general is essential in his new home. He is in tact but has never humped. Up to date with vaccinations however is due is next one and this is booked in, flea and wormer. He does have the typical bulldog allergies and is happy when on a fish & grain free diet and sometimes needs a fish oil supplement especially during malting season and I anticipate a move in homes will cause a flare up due to stress but when he’s thriving his coat is gorgeous and he’s as happy as can be.
