Sadly, I need to rehome my dog.
She is very soft, very strong, very energetic and very playful. She loves all animals and wants to play with everyone.
Her coat is HIGH maintenance, I have been doing it myself.
Combing and brushing every 2 days.
full groom every fornight - inner-ear cleaning and plucking hair otherwise it gets smelly, full face shave and body shave, toe shaving. It takes 2-4 hours I usually spread over 2 days due to other responsibilities.
Only seeking people with great patience to groom her themselves or send her to the groomers regularly - as with this breed its non negotiable. Hairstyle, however - your choice! Be aware the Groomers charge a lot for standard poodles.
Mannerisms:
She doesnt bark at home, she barks only at other dogs when shes playing with them.
Not destructive at all - just sleeps when we are out.
We have left her up to 5 hours no problems.
I have left her with friends, no problems.
Her recall is great, especially if you have treats.
She follows instructions well - she is very trainable. Sit, Bed, Out, Off, Up, Jump.. she is a kangaroo - honestly needs a strong handler.
She is fully toilet trained. She eats wet and dry. Royal Canin Dry Poodle, Naturo Wet poultry selection grain free cans - she doesnt do well with red meat.
Shes great with kids, preferably over 3 years old.
She did bowl over my 4 year old once in the early days as she moves fast and weighs 16kg - but my child was fine luckily it was on grass and now they know to move equally swift.
