Meet Woody – A loving, active cockapoo who is looking for his forever home
📍 Based in Manchester
🧸 Male | Woody is 11 months old and has been recently neutered. He will need to renew vaccinations in July.
Woody is a gorgeous, very active and cuddly boy. He has grown up with children in the home so good with them. He has only recently starting living with other dogs as my parents have a new puppy, but he has been getting on well with her.
Woodys Personality:
At home, he is a happy very busy, playful affectionate boy, and just wants to be close to his humans. He’s housetrained (may have accidents in his new home whilst he settles in). He travels really well in the car and is quite happy sleeping or looking out the window and watching the world go by. He loves toys and playing tug of war. His lead skills still need a little work but he has been making great progress after advice from a trainer.
Cockapoos often suffer with separation anxiety and this is something that I have been working through with Woody. I have been working with trainers and Woody can be left for an hour or so quite happily but can become unsettled and cry after a while, he does go back to bed eventually but wouldn’t be happy being left home all day by himself.
Woody is a fast learner. He loves his food and enjoys enrichment activities such as lick mats and hidden treat games. I have introduced him to natural treats which he loves and he will take medication in cheese, if needed. He is very trainable and loves to learn.
Other Pets:
Woody is currently living with both cats and dogs. However, he can be a little too full on for the cats so I would say no cats, unless they like to play. He is dog friendly and since being neutered the need to hump has been decreasing. Woody loves to have a good play and run around the garden.
What Woody Needs:
Woody would thrive in a very active home. He sleeps in his crate or on the bottom of my bed and loves to be close to you for cuddles. Woody would be happiest in a home where he can be with humans a lot of the time so someone who works part time/from home would be ideal. Woody will require regular grooming, he is used to being brushed and loves having a warm bath. He has even allowed me to cut his hair.
