Unfortunately, due to a change in personal circumstances, we are looking to find a new home for our beloved American Akita, Rico. He has been with us since 8 weeks old and this decision has not been made lightly.
Rico is a big, affectionate boy (approx. 65kg and intact), very people-focused and loves attention, belly rubs, long walks, park visits and ongoing training to keep him mentally stimulated. He knows all basic commands and responds well to structure and routine.
He has been boarded previously and is comfortable in a crate. He has experience being around other dogs in controlled settings. He has not lived with small children.
We are looking for an experienced home familiar with large or guardian breeds, with plenty of space, time and commitment to give him the attention and structure he thrives on. A secure garden is essential.
This is incredibly important to us — we want to ensure he finds the right long-term home where he will be loved and well cared for.
