Just when I thought the excitement was over after Snow’s first litter, this cheeky little lady had other ideas! As much of a surprise as her first litter was, my plan had always been to have Snow spayed once her kittens had finished weaning. Unfortunately, nature had other plans. Snow came back into season much sooner than expected and, before I had the opportunity to have her spayed, she surprised me once again. She has now given birth to a beautiful litter of six healthy, happy kittens, all of whom are feeding well and thriving. Having raised her first litter, I know just how important those first few weeks and months are in shaping confident, affectionate cats. My goal is to give these kittens the very best start in life by raising them in a loving home environment where they are handled daily and introduced to people, other cats and everyday household life. I want them to grow into confident, friendly companions with wonderful temperaments, so they can go on to live long, happy lives free from unnecessary stress or trauma. As they grow, they’ll enjoy plenty of cuddles, playtime, enrichment and positive experiences. I’ll be working hard to ensure they are well socialised, comfortable around people, and used to the sights and sounds of a busy home before they’re ready to leave. Finding the right homes is my absolute priority. I’m not looking for the quickest sale—I’m looking for families who will love and cherish these kittens for the rest of their lives. Cats are a long-term commitment and, while they’re incredibly rewarding companions, they also come with ongoing responsibilities and costs. Food, routine veterinary care, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and unexpected vet bills can all add up. I strongly believe every cat should either be covered by comprehensive pet insurance or have owners who are financially able to meet any unexpected medical costs without hesitation. These kittens deserve owners who will treat them as members of the family, not just pets. While cats are wonderfully independent, they still need daily interaction, enrichment and affection. Their ideal forever home will provide plenty of love, around an hour each day of play and mental stimulation, and, of course, lots of lap time, cuddles and purring sessions.
