Description

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a stunning litter of Royal Kennel Club registered whippets - three solid blacks and three blues. This litter's progress can be followed on our dedicated facebook page - Elaine Celticmoon Day - where potential new owners can see how our puppies are raised and how our adult dogs live their lives. OUR PUPPIES are born and raised in our home and from the age of around five weeks become fully integrated into our pack, so that they start learning manners, dog body language and skills that will be vital when they are adult. We use a proven programme of socialisation to ensure they mature into happy, outgoing and well balanced dogs, and they also get to know our cat and donkeys. Both the dam and the sire are DNA health tested clear for Degenerative Myelopathy, Glycogen Storage Disease VII, Hyperuricosuria and Muscular Hypertrophy. The dam of the litter is a show line blue whippet who is a very much loved family member. Although we bred the sire, who is a black brindle with white trim, he now lives in a professional show home where he is shown at Championship shows throughout the UK and has qualified for Crufts on numerous occasions. Both parents of this litter have exemplary temperaments and adhere to the Royal Kennel Club breed standard - with both being within the standard height limit. Our puppies are fully vaccinated and leave us from the age of nine weeks. We are using a relatively new vaccine - Versican Plus - and our puppies are able to go out and about meeting their new world from the moment they go to their new homes, with no period of isolation, which means there is no gap in their socialisation education. New owners do not need to pay for further vaccinations until their puppy is 14 months old when it will need a booster. Our puppies are recall trained (so they come back to you when called), are taught bite inhibition (no nasty puppy nips!) and have a fundamental understanding of housetraining and simple commands. They are handled daily from birth and enjoy playing with our adult dogs and having lots of cuddles on the sofa. Puppies will be fully vet health checked at six and nine weeks of age, microchipped, fully vaccinated and will have five weeks' RKC insurance. OUR NEW OWNERS WILL GET their puppy's unique five generation Royal Kennel Club certificate, microchip changed into their name, five weeks' RKC insurance and a huge puppy pack. We understand that getting a puppy can be a daunting prospect so our new owners get our comprehensive training, socialisation and care pack before they collect their puppy so they feel confident. They also get enough wet and dry premium puppy food for the first couple of weeks together with money off vouchers for future purchases, together with a bottle of our water to aid transition. We include a collar & lead, toys, scent blanket, clicker and natural puppy training treats. Our puppies are sold with a contract which incorporates a 28 day health and temperament money back guarantee and obviously we offer lifetime support. ABOUT ME - I am a caring, knowledgeable and ethical professional breeder who specialises in whippets and my own strain of little lurcher. I only breed whippets which will adhere to the RKC breed standard and strive to produce puppies that have good looks, wonderful temperaments and robust good health. I have been breeding sighthounds - whippets, deerhounds and lurchers - for over 50 years and have shown my whippets and deerhounds at Championship level with a couple of my hounds becoming lifetime qualified for Crufts. I am a trained pet dog trainer (retired!) and have written various articles for specialist canine magazines. I am a licenced breeder so have to comply with strict regulations regarding health and welfare with all of my dogs undergoing a full vet health check annually.
