This is an incredibly difficult decision for me, and one that I have not made lightly. I love my girl more than I can put into words, which is exactly why I feel I need to find a home where she can have the time, attention and environment she truly deserves. Due to my work, my schedule can be quite unpredictable. Some days I work long hours, sometimes from early morning until late in the evening, and I also occasionally work night shifts. Although she is always loved and cared for, I have started to feel that spending long periods alone isn’t the life I want for her. She currently lives indoors with me in a flat, and I would love for her to have a home where she has more companionship, attention and opportunities to really thrive. This is not because I don’t love her or want her quite the opposite. I love her enough to recognise that she may be happier in a home where someone has more time to spend with her and can give her the company and lifestyle she deserves. I am looking for a genuinely loving and responsible home for her, with someone who understands that this is a heartbreaking decision and will treat her as the much-loved member of the family that she is. Finding the right home is far more important to me than finding one quickly, so I will be very careful about where she goes. I want to know that she will be safe, loved and happy.
