I have a 4 and a half year old Belgian shepherd who needs to have a new home due to him not getting on with other dogs in the home so having to be kept separate, he was diagnosed with spondylitis over 2 years ago and is managed with pain relief and gentle exercise. He would benefit from an adult only family or older children as he likes a quiet life. Looking for a new home as he has recently started having issues with my older male in the home and having to be kept separate which is no life for him, so the kindest thing is to find him a suitable home.
When he was diagnosed my vet side to treat him like a large sausage dog so gentle small walks and no jumping and excessive running around. He is managed by pain relief which is reflected in the process for him.
He is a loving boy but I his terms and doesn’t like some things due to his pain threshold loves going for a walk and would walk longer then he should but a gentle 30 minute walk is plenty for him, he needs a home where he can be spoilt and loved and not have to worry about others dogs accidentally running into him and causing him pain.
He has had a vasectomy as we originally thought it was the chemical castration that has caused his issues but when things didn’t change we had x rays to see and found he had spondylitis.
I am asking for £150 to ensure he goes to a good home, he is upto date with his flea and wormers and recently had his vaccinations booster
He is happy to be left and has his den at mine where he feels safe and will happily sleep whilst you are out.
