This is not an add I want to make.
This is my 4 year old ragdoll Atlas. Last year I separated from my long term partner, moved town and got a new job. I am now out of the house for longer time periods during the day and Atlas just isn’t adjusting to longer periods on his own.
I am exploring the option of whether another home with different lifestyles, such as someone retired or who works from home may make him happier in the long term.
He can be a difficult cat to manage and he has a very big personality. I also cannot overstate how big he is!!
He is very loving and likes to sleep on your pillow / in your bed. He likes to spend evenings snuggled between two people on the sofa. He can act up and become a little destructive if you’re late with his dinner or he wants a treat! He also is a little fussy with the litter tray as he likes to use it when it’s clean.
For his personality quirks he has always made a big impact in my home. He ensures I have never felt alone and having cuddles and purrs at the end of the day have always been worth it.
He will follow me around the house wherever I go, making sure to inspect whatever I’m doing and get involved if he can. He loves to play with feather toys and eats wet and dry food.
I would be heartbroken to give him up, but I know he’s struggling without a more constant human presence. I am looking for someone who has experience with cats and thinks they may be able to give him the stability, presence and love that he needs and deserves.
