I'm reluctantly selling my beloved 10-year-old male western hognose snake due to upcoming international relocation. I've cared for him for six years, and he's been an incredible companion.
This snake boasts a vibrant personality - lively and energetic, yet also territorial, which is typical for his breed. He can be quite defensive of his cage, hissing and headbutting when feeling threatened. However, once picked up and handled, he calms down and relaxes.
As he requires a knowledgeable and dedicated caregiver, I'm looking for someone passionate about reptiles and familiar with their specific needs. If you're willing to provide the proper attention and environment, he'll thrive in his new home.
One important note: this snake is an aggressive feeder. It's highly recommended to use feeding tongs when offering him meals, as he doesn't understand the difference between food and a human hand. This is a crucial aspect of his care, and any potential buyer should be prepared to accommodate his feeding needs.
Additionally, his vivarium is available for sale, included in the pictures. It's a medium-large, brown wood Exoterra vivarium, complete with:
