We’re looking for a loving new home for our boy Hugo, a nearly two-year-old Shih Tzu.
Hugo is incredibly affectionate, funny, and happiest when he’s close to his people. His favourite place is curled up beside you with his head on your lap, he truly loves companionship and being part of the family.
We’ve only had Hugo a short while and absolutely adore him, but we’ve come to realise he needs a home that can better meet his needs. He does experience separation anxiety and would thrive somewhere that has someone around most of the time, as he finds being left alone for long periods difficult. Unfortunately, with both my wife and I working, we can’t give him that consistency during the day.
He can be a little territorial and vocal when visitors first arrive, but he settles with reassurance. On walks, he may occasionally react to other dogs, particularly larger ones.
Hugo is the sweetest, most loving little dog, and this decision has been incredibly hard for us. We simply want him to have the stability and time he deserves so he can truly flourish in the right home.
