Description

The time has come for me to admit that I need to find a new home for my beloved Mishka. This is an incredibly difficult decision, one that I have been struggling with for several months. However, I have come to realise that finding her a new home is the most responsible thing I can do for her and my family. Mishka is a beautiful example of a Pomsky, with an unusual and striking coat colour, absolutely gorgeous fur and a wonderful, friendly personality. She’s still a teenager, so she has plenty of energy and can get very excited, especially when it’s time to play! She’s a very playful girl who absolutely loves being outdoors, going for walks and exploring. She’s great on the lead and friendly with other dogs. She also has a calmer side. She loves finding a comfortable spot and happily chewing on her favourite bone. She has grown up alongside my toddler and is absolutely wonderful with children. She is also very patient, even with my other dog, who unfortunately has become aggressive towards her. Mishka lives happily in a household with a cat, too. When I first brought Mishka home, she had a few behavioural issues that I’ve spent quite a lot of time working on. She’s come such a long way! She knows basic commands and no longer chews things around the house. She can still jump up at people when she’s excited and happy to see them, but that’s something we’re continuing to work on. Anyone who knows Pomskies will know they can be quite stubborn, and Mishka definitely has that typical Pomsky attitude! She’s cheeky, clever and sometimes thinks she knows better than everyone else. But that’s also part of what makes her so funny and full of character. She’s not fussy with food at all. She’s happy with dry food, wet food or raw feeding. I also have her DNA test results available, which I’m happy to share with her new owners. Mishka and my older dog used to be best friends. They absolutely adored each other and spent so much time playing together. Unfortunately, everything changed after Mishka had her first season. Since then, my older dog has become increasingly aggressive towards her and now regularly attacks her. I’ve been trying to manage the situation and work on their relationship for several months, but I’m simply not seeing any improvement. With a toddler in the house, I just don’t feel that it’s safe to continue living like this. I really don’t want to rush into finding her a new home. I’m looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs and understands that Pomskies are an active, intelligent and sometimes stubborn breed. I want her to go somewhere she’ll be loved, included in family life and given plenty of attention, walks and playtime. This is absolutely heartbreaking for me because I love her so much. I’m not giving her up because she’s a difficult dog or because I don’t want her anymore. Quite the opposite. I just want her to have a happy, safe home where she can enjoy life without the stress and conflict she’s experiencing here. Please feel free to message me if you think you could offer Mishka the loving home she deserves.
