Sadly, I’ve made the difficult decision to find my beautiful blue Indian Ringneck a new home. He is approximately 11 months old and was sold to me as a male, which I also strongly believe to be the case based on his appearance. He is healthy, active and very curious. He enjoys spending time out of his cage, loves exploring and is always interested in what’s going on around him. His favourite treats are pomegranate and grapes, and he also loves sweet peppers and other fresh vegetables. His diet currently consists of pellets with a small amount of sunflower seed mix, alongside fresh vegetables and occasional treats. He has a lovely personality but I believe he would be happiest in a home where someone has more time to spend with him than I can. Like many young ringnecks, he can be cautious around hands at first, but he is inquisitive, enjoys interacting and has lots of potential with patience and consistency. He can be a bit cheeky and throw a tantrum here and there and when you leave the room and wants your attention, he will let it known with his callings. Collection is for the bird only (cage not included). For collection, he will be provided in a small portable travel carrier suitable for transporting him safely. Transport can also be arranged if required. FAQ: - “Is he tamed?” No. However, even if he were considered fully tame, you are still a stranger to him. Any bird—tame or untame—will need time to adjust to a new person, new surroundings, and a new environment. Building trust and helping him feel comfortable with you will take patience, consistency, and, most importantly, time. Every bird is different, so there is no guaranteed timeline for how quickly this will happen. - “Is he a cuddly bird?” Not currently. Ringnecks are generally not known for being naturally cuddly birds. That said, this does not mean Ice could never become affectionate or cuddly with you. With enough trust, bonding, patience, and time, he may eventually choose to become more physically affectionate. However, this cannot be forced or guaranteed—it has to happen on his terms and at his own pace.
