(Not £75 for rehome)It breaks my heart to be writing this, but I want to do what is best for Louie and give him the kind of home he truly deserves. Louie is a Pug x Beagle (Puggle), born in 2015, so he will be turning 11 this year. Before we had children he was very much our little baby and the centre of our world. As our family has grown and life has become much busier, we’ve sadly realised that we can no longer give Louie the time, attention and companionship that he really thrives on. Louie is a very loving, affectionate boy who adores cuddles and being close to his people. He would suit a home where someone is around for most of the day, as he doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods. He has grown up around cats and is completely comfortable with them. He has also lived with other dogs in the past, but he would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can have all the attention to himself. Louie walks nicely on the lead and enjoys his walks, but he cannot be let off lead as he is a typical Beagle when it comes to following scents and his recall isn’t reliable. Health: Louie does suffer from itchy skin, which unfortunately can be common with the breed. Over the years we have spent a lot of time and money working with vets to try different treatments. He is currently on tablets which help manage the itching, and I will happily provide his full veterinary history. His new owner would likely want to work with their vet to find the best long-term plan that suits them. Louie is neutered and otherwise a happy, gentle little dog who simply loves being around people. More than anything, I just want to find him a home where he can spend his later years being loved, fussed over and included in daily life. He truly is a wonderful, cuddly boy and deserves to be someone’s little shadow again. The right home is far more important than anything else.
