We are sadly having to re-home our handsome 18 month old family dog Scout who is an adorable male Pomchi (Dad Pomeranian & Mum Long Haired Chihuahua) due to a change in family circumstances and work changes which forces us to re-home him. It has been a very hard decision, but it is the right thing for him and we are now on the search for a loving home for him. We have had him from being a puppy at 9 weeks old and I saw Mum and Dad on multiple occasions before we collected him. He has an incredible personality and is fun, happy, playful and loving. He has lived with small dogs, large dogs, and teenage children in the past and has interacted well with smaller children and people and dogs of all ages and genders. He has a lovely temperament and nature and will be greatly missed. Due to his outgoing, adaptable and confident personality I would suspect that he would be happy being the only dog in the home too. He is 18 months old so he is out of the teething and stages and the typical naughty stages puppies go through and has had some training, but he is still young and fun. He has settled down from being a puppy, he is still playful at various times of the day. He also loves to be a lap dog and will lap up fuss, naps, cuddles, walks and snacks! He adores people, walks, watching TV, cuddles, nature and other dogs. He hasn't been neutered and has had his first 2 sets of vaccines and is due his annual vaccinations which are £35 at our local vets, I suspect most vet prices are the same. He is up to date with flea and wormer, and is chipped and was vet checked when he was a puppy and has had no health issues. He is crate trained and toilet trained and loves to be brushed and bathed. Typically we brush him every week or as required, and bath him and trim his nails once every 4-6 weeks, however if the new owners prefer to take him to the groomers instead that is just a preference but his coat is easy to maintain and absolutely beautiful. He sleeps in a crate with a dog mattress at bedtime downstairs usually although occasionally sleeps upstairs with us and is fine with that too. In terms of diet he can eat pretty much any dog food and treats that we give him. He loves dog treats, dog chews, pizza crust and toast and cheese. We have him on Harrington's dog food (kibble) and Butchers wet food (tins) at the moment but he has tried all sorts in the past and has been absolutely fine and enjoys his food. He tends to eat a bit of kibble in a morning and a 1/4 of a tin of butchers and Harringtons kibble in a evening. He is a very small breed, he weighs 5.8kg and is super cute, fluffy and affectionate and gets all the attention when he is out and about. He can be left for up to around 5 hours in the day time maximum before needing a toilet break and to stretch his legs, but when we are home he is has the run of downstairs and the garden which he likes. He usually sleeps in his crate through the night from around 9/10pm usually until 7/9am which is amazing 🤩! We are open to sensible and serious offers near the asking price which is substantially less than what we paid for him. It must be a good home who can take good care of him, so we will require a meet up and some questions on both sides to ensure everyone is happy and it is a suitable home for him.
