Description
Mot is a 1 year old welsh short haired collie we recently bought however due to a change in work commitment, plus a house move, we will have to let him go.
We bought him from a working farm as he didn’t enjoy being a sheepdog. He is completely house trained and walks on both a lead and off lead perfectly. His recall is good however he can get distracted when other dogs are around. He is extremely friendly, he can just be shy initially meeting new people, especially taller men.
I believe that he would thrive in a house with another dog. I believe this would allow him to settle when left alone in the house as we are finding that when left alone he does bark. Unfortunately with us moving to Scotland for work we aren’t in a position to be able to keep him. I do believe that with the company of another dog or rarely being left alone this wouldn’t be an issue.
Good bits:
-extremely friendly
-good with children/ teenagers
-loves people (but wary at first especially taller men)
-good with other dogs
-responds well to women and a higher tone of voice on recall
Bad bits
-would be better living with another dog or someone at home in the day
-needs enough exercise
-needs someone who can keep him stimulated
Home more important than price! Happy to let him go for free to the perfect home!
