Description
I am sadly looking to rehome a family members male Siamese cat, He is neutered, an indoor-only cat and is in good health. This is not a decision they have taken lightly, but we feel he would be happier in a home that can offer him more time and attention than they are currently able to provide.
He is a very affectionate cat who enjoys one-to-one companionship and is used to having people around him, particularly my nephew. Over the last couple of years, their lfestyle has become much busier, and are often away from home for extended periods. Although they arrange for a pet sitter to visit, he has become increasingly unsettled and does not seem happy with the amount of time he is spending alone.
We want to be completely honest that he has developed a habit of urinating in places around the home. He has been examined by a vet and no medical issues or infections have been found. We have noticed that this behaviour seems to occur during periods of change or disruption, for example when they are away or when a dog was introduced into the household, at which point he urinated in the dog's bed and continued to do so when given the chance. We believe he would benefit from a calm, stable environment with someone who is home most of the time and can give him the attention and reassurance he craves.
He is a lovely cat with lots of character, and I am committed to finding him the right home where he can thrive.
