Located in Telford, Shropshire. Our black Labrador retriever, Joey, is looking for a new home due to his high energy levels and training needs. This hasn’t been an easy decision, but we feel he would be happier with someone who has the time, experience and lifestyle to meet his needs. Born 28 August 2024, Joey comes from working line Labrador parents. We have had Joey since he was 9 weeks old, so some of the photos included are from when he was younger. He has lots of energy and needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He knows basic commands such as sit, wait, and down, especially if food is involved, but he would benefit from continued training. His recall is poor and walking him on a lead is difficult, he is vocal around people and other dogs, and he may become destructive if he’s bored or under-stimulated. Because of this, we feel he’d be best suited to someone with experience of working Labradors or other active breeds. We are looking for a caring home where Joey would have the time, patience and exercise he needs. His vaccination record and microchip details are available.
