Description

Millie (grey & white) and Tabitha (tabby & white), a very special pair who have discovered that life is so much better together. Both girls were born on the streets and spent the last 2-3 years surviving outdoors as part of a large colony of around 40 cats in South London. As part of our ongoing efforts to help the cats in this colony, Millie and Tabitha were brought into foster care, where they’ve had the chance to enjoy the comforts of indoor life. They’ve been together throughout their journey and have developed a particularly close bond. In fact, they’re now practically inseparable, with their very different personalities complementing each other beautifully. MILLIE is the more relaxed and adaptable of the two. She's elegant, charming and wonderfully chilled, although she can still be a little shy with new people. She's made lovely progress in foster care and is becoming increasingly affectionate, particularly at bedtime, when she often settles down for a cuddle and happily sleeps on her foster dad's belly! She loves her food, happily takes treats from your hand and has put on some healthy weight since arriving. Once she's had her evening cuddle, she's usually ready for a burst of zoomies and playtime with her favourite girl, Tabitha. TABITHA is the cheekier, more mischievous half of the duo. She's playful, full of character and absolutely loves her food. She has a rather amusing habit of snatching treats from your hand before carrying them off to eat, as though she's caught herself a mouse! She's still very suspicious of people and takes considerably longer to trust, but she's making progress in her own time. She has even started jumping onto the bed at night and is gradually allowing her foster dad to give her the occasional stroke. She's not quite ready to be a cuddle bug yet - but there's plenty of personality behind that cautious exterior. These girls really do need to find a home together. Millie gives Tabitha reassurance and helps her see that people can be trusted, while Tabitha brings out Millie's playful side. They are constantly seeking each other out, and we believe they would both miss that companionship enormously if separated. We're looking for a patient home where they can continue enjoying indoor life, with no other resident cats. Millie is relaxed around visiting cats, but Tabitha can be territorial, so they would be happiest having each other as their feline company. They may take a little time to settle and Tabitha especially will need patience, but watching these two continue to grow together would be a lovely thing to be part of. If you have room for two very different but devoted little characters, Millie and Tabitha would love to meet you. Millie and Tabitha are: ✅ Vaccinated ✅ Microchipped ✅ Spayed ✅ Dewormed ✅ Blood tested (FIV-/FeLV-) ✅ Vet health checked If you can offer Millie and Tabitha a loving happy ever-after together, please get in touch today! We will send you a link to complete our online pre-adoption form and we will also require a home video check as part of our process. If you have any questions, please reach out and one of our small team of volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note: Every Cat Matters is an indoor-only rescue. This means all our cats should be kept in a safe, enriching indoor environment, unless they have access to a secure cat-proof garden, catio, or netted balcony. We believe cats can live full, happy lives without free roaming outdoors. Keeping them safe indoors protects them from road accidents, injuries, contagious illnesses, and territorial fights—while also helping to preserve local wildlife. With love, enrichment, and security, indoor cats truly thrive and live their longest lives.
