Loving Home Needed for Boris - 1-Year-Old Miniature Dachshund
It's with heavy hearts that we're looking to rehome our beloved Boris, a 1-year-old male miniature dachshund. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but our busy family life with three children and full-time jobs has made us realise we can't give him the time and attention he deserves.
About Boris:
Boris is a wonderful little character who would thrive in a home where he can be someone's companion. He's brilliant with children and an absolute joy on walks. He's not much of a barker, which makes him a peaceful addition to any home.
Living with Other Dogs:
Boris currently lives with our 11-year-old Staffy and they're great friends. He generally gets along well with other dogs, though he can be protective over food on occasion (this has only happened a couple of times). We feed them separately to avoid any issues, and this works perfectly well.
Health & Training:
No health issues
Fully vaccinated
Crate trained and happily sleeps in his crate at night
Used to being left while we're at work
Please note: Boris is not yet 100% house trained and will still have occasional accidents - he'll need patience and consistency to complete his training
Personality:
Boris loves cuddles and being near his people, but he's also comfortable with alone time. He's adapted well to our busy household but would flourish with someone who has more time to dedicate to him.
We're looking for a loving, patient home where Boris can receive the attention he needs. Preference will be given to those with dachshund experience or knowledge of the breed.

Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
