Description
We are devastated to be having to re home our iggy. Rusty is a sand/tan Italian greyhound. He will be 2 years old in July. He is extremely loving, funny and such a character. He is crate trained and has been used to sleeping in there every night with our 2 other dachshunds.
We are extremely distraught about having to re home him but unfortunately due to a change in family circumstances we have no choice. Therefore he will not be going to just any other home, he needs an owner that works from home or has dog care in place for when they’re out. He is great with children so could live with kids older or younger. He has lived with our 15 month old daughter and newborn. He is used to be on his own for max 5 hours (without a human, has always been with our other dogs) He has always been crated when we have not been in the house and he is very content with his crate.
He would need to live with another dog and could not live on his own. Ideally an iggy aswell but he has loved living with dachshunds too. He is very sociable and is great with other dogs but isn’t a fan of much larger dogs due to his small size. He can be reactive on walks when he’s walked with our other 2 dogs so would need an owner who is patient. Sometimes he walks without any barking at all but some days can be more reactive than others.
