Description

Maxx was rescued from people who have not cared for him. We were told he is a sprollie but vets have said that’s definitely a pointer. He has the most wonderful and friendly personality good with people and dog. He has absolutely on point fabulous recall and walks off lead next to you in little Circles. His previous owner never used a lead so he does pull big time but as his recall is so good we leave him to walk freely. He appears to have been mainly used outside working. He has high energy and needs a lot of mental stimulation. Ideally he needs a cat free house and a house with either nor dogs or ones bigger than a chihuahua as we have small dogs and he tries to herd them. Very gently but his feet are big lol. He loves affection and will come and cuddle up against you and give kisses. He honestly is just adorable. So yes his story with us. He was rescued by my eldest daughter who was under them impression he was a 5 month old sprollie. He is clearly not a sprollie and his date of birth is 5th September making him 9 months and a sizable 20kg and not suitable for her living arrangements at the moment so I brought him home with me. Because this dog makes you fall in love with him as soon as you see his eyes. We have dogs at home and cats which is how we know he doesn’t like cats. Our two smaller dogs have kinda said “ oh okay mum your brought us a big friend” they would all get along fine although his herding is a problem. But our golden retriever who has always been prickly with older dogs is a definite no. Not just this takes time to get used to each other this is a relationship that will end with teeth. The aggression is 100% from the golden and not Maxx which makes this so flipping hard because his temperament is wonderful. And we don’t want this to affect his temperament. But there is no way she will accept a dog of 9 months. I have no regrets about my daughter taking him from his previous situation as we believe all dogs should know love and kindness. We have only known Maxx for a short time and knowing that we have to say goodbye for his safety is heartbreaking
