Description
Daisy is a loving, playful, and affectionate dog who enjoys being part of the family. She loves human company, enjoys her walks, and is happiest when spending time with the people she knows and trusts. Once Daisy gets to know someone, she is incredibly loyal and quickly becomes their best friend. We are quite certain Daisy believes she is human and likes to be involved in everything that is going on around her!
Daisy is fully house-trained and has no issues holding her bladder or bowels until she is let outside. The only exception is that she may occasionally have a small excitement wee when greeting someone she is particularly happy to see, such as a favourite visitor. This is rare and happens purely because she is so excited.
Daisy has lived with children and generally enjoys being around them. She is affectionate and likes being involved in family life. Like many dogs, she can be protective of high-value treats, particularly rabbit ears, and sometimes favourite toys. If someone approaches her while she is enjoying these, she may growl as a warning, so her treats and prized possessions need to be managed appropriately and children should be taught to give her space during these times.
Daisy is well behaved in the home and has never destroyed furniture, household items, or belongings. She knows the difference between her toys and household items and only chews and plays with her own toys.
She can be wary of strangers and visitors when she first meets them and may bark or keep her distance initially. She can also be vocal when she sees animals outside, through windows, or even on television. She may bark at birds, squirrels, cats, dogs, helicopters, and sometimes during thunderstorms. However, she is not particularly bothered by fireworks.
Due to a significant change in our family circumstances following the death of my husband, I am no longer able to give Daisy the time, attention, exercise, and consistency she deserves. This has been an incredibly difficult decision as she is a much-loved member of our family. My priority is finding her a home where she can thrive and receive the love, companionship, and commitment she deserves. She would be best suited to a family without dogs.
