It is with a very heavy heart that I am looking for a new home for my Show Cocker Spaniel. Having now gone back to full time shift work, I don’t have the time she truly deserves or is used to 💔 ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ DNA Health CLEAR ✔️ Fully Vaccinated (Next Due in 2027) ✔️ Up to date with both flea & worm ✔️ Fully groomed and is excellent with bathing, grooming, clipping and hair dryer. ✔️ Fantastic with other dogs ✔️ Incredibly intelligent & loves long walks, especially beaches, obedience training and any other training that you wanted to do. ✔️ Crate Trained and is excellent at night or when you are out. ✔️ Fantastic in the car, loves rides out and is happy to sit on the back seat. Loves to look out the window 😊 ✔️ A real foodie 🥓 - currently eats dry food but has previously had a raw diet and loves everything equally. Her favourites are scrambled egg & chicken. ✔️ A real cuddle bunny - loves to be the centre of your world 🌍 and loves hugs, kisses and being close to you. ✔️ Playful and loves toys, interactive games, fetch 🥎 ✔️ Loves being taken along to a yummy pub lunch, where she will happily sleep by your feet…. Awaiting a fallen chip or two 😋 ✔️ Gentle and Soft when taking treats - doesn’t snatch. The type of home I’m looking for is: ✔️ Experienced dog owner who is committed [Cockers by nature can push boundaries, can be excitable. She does pull on her lead and for that reason I mainly use private dog parks although she has hugely improved since using a Halti as opposed to a harness. An owner who understands the breed and is happy to continue her training, provide structure and work with her needs is essential. She can be weary/ suspicious with some new people, she has been like this since a puppy, despite lots of socialisation. She has never biten or anything like that but she does have a tendency to bark. Having said this she is excellent on walks and doesn’t bark at passers by or when she’s at a coffee shop/ pub - it’s mainly if someone approaches out of no where or if someone comes in the house. She settles quite quickly and I perhaps think it may be as I don’t have many visitors. ✔️ No cats [ I do have cats but she has never tolerated them well even as a puppy, despite slow introductions and exposure. I feel her prey drive is just too high and has a tendency when left alone to chase them]. ✔️ No full time workers [when out, she is crated as she relaxes there and goes to sleep however when you’re in she is your little shadow, a true busy body and loves to be involved in whatever you’re doing 🩷] ✔️ No Breeders/ suitable for pet home only ✔️ No Children [She currently lives with children and has always been gentle however she can be bouncy and clumsy when greeting or playing] This decision comes from a place of love, and it is absolutely heartbreaking. My home will very much feel empty without her and I want to make sure I find the best home for her 🏡 With that being said if you’d like to be considered, please send a message with a little bit about yourself and the home you can offer Xx
