Theodore is a 2-year-old Persian Chinchilla cat looking for a calm, loving and experienced home. This is an incredibly difficult decision for me, but due to changes in my health, I’m finding it harder to give him the level of care and attention he truly deserves.
He is genuinely a very sweet and friendly cat once he warms up to people. He can be shy at first around new faces, but once comfortable, he becomes very soft-natured and affectionate in his own gentle way.
Please be aware that Theodore is a very high-maintenance breed and not a low-effort pet. Persian Chinchillas require daily brushing, regular professional grooming, and ongoing coat maintenance. His fur becomes extremely thick and he sheds heavily, so keeping on top of grooming is essential for his comfort and wellbeing. He needs an owner who understands the commitment that comes with long-haired Persian cats and is prepared for the time, care, and cost involved.
He only eats dry food and drinks a lot of water from a cat fountain, so ideally I’d like him to go to a home that can provide one for him as he’s very used to it.
I’m not looking for a quick sale finding the right home is the most important thing to me. I would prefer someone who understands the breed and is genuinely prepared for the responsibility and long-term commitment involved.
