❤️ MEADOW IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME – NEAR EAST KILBRIDE, SCOTLAND ❤️ We're sharing Meadow on behalf of Basil's Forever Sofa, another rescue working hard to find loving homes for dogs who deserve a fresh start. If you're interested in Meadow, please send us a private message with your name, telephone number and a little about your experience with dogs. We'll pass your details on to the rescue, who will take things forward directly. At around 45kg, Meadow is a big girl. But behind all that fluff is a soft-hearted, affectionate dog who would love to have someone to call her own. Meadow is a two-year-old Bucovina Shepherd, and she has two great loves in life: tasty treats and spending time with her people. She's the sort of dog who enjoys getting out for a good walk, exploring the world around her and then coming home for a well-earned cuddle on the sofa. Once Meadow builds trust with someone, she forms a lovely, loyal bond. She's intelligent, responsive to gentle guidance and thrives when she knows what's expected of her. She's already fully housetrained and walks well on the lead. She's also able to live with other dogs who are confident and dog-savvy. Like many dogs, Meadow will need a little time to adjust to a new home. She can be reactive during periods of change, particularly in those first few weeks, so she'll need patient, understanding owners who can give her the space and reassurance to settle. Because of her size and the possibility of some initial reactivity, the rescue feels an adult-only home would be best. She's also not particularly keen on car journeys at the moment, although this is something that can be worked on gradually. 🐾 A little more about Meadow: She's two years old, approximately 45kg and a Bucovina Shepherd. 📍 Located near East Kilbride, Scotland (ML5). She is housetrained, lead trained and can live with suitable, dog-savvy dogs. She needs an adult-only home, ideally with someone who understands large shepherd breeds and can offer calm, consistent guidance. **Before reaching out, please take some time to research Bucovina Shepherds and understand their breed characteristics and needs.** They are large, powerful livestock guardian dogs, and it's important that anyone considering Meadow understands the commitment involved and is confident they can offer her the right home. Meadow is not yet spayed, and this will need to be discussed with the rescue as part of the adoption arrangements. A home check and adoption process will apply, with full rescue backup provided by Basil's Forever Sofa.
