Description
Bruno is a 2-year-old working line German Shepherd with so much love and affection to give. He loves cuddles, toys, playing ball and going for walks. He gets incredibly excited when it's time to go out and enjoys spending time with the people he knows and trusts.
Rehoming Bruno has not been an easy decision. Our priority is finding him the right home where he will be loved, understood and given the happy life he deserves. We want to be completely honest about his personality, training and the support he needs to ensure the right match.

❤️ BRUNO'S PERSONALITY
Bruno is a loving boy who enjoys cuddles, playing with his toys and spending time with his trusted people. His absolute favourite is ball! 🎾 He knows “drop”, although when excited, he may need the command repeated.
As a working line German Shepherd, Bruno needs appropriate exercise, mental stimulation, structure and consistency. He is intelligent and has lots of potential, but his new owner must be committed to continuing his training.
🦮 TRAINING AND OBEDIENCE
Bruno completed a 25-day residential course with a professional trainer, making significant progress with his reactivity. He was also e-collar trained. The trainer's details will be provided to prospective owners so they can understand his training and discuss how best to continue it.
Bruno can walk on the lead, heel, recall, sit, lie down and wait. He responds to structure and consistent handling. His new owner must be prepared to build on his progress using appropriate, humane training and behaviour-management methods.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: REACTIVITY TOWARDS OTHER DOGS
Bruno can react towards other dogs, particularly when they approach him. He generally doesn't seek out other dogs, but is uncomfortable when they enter his space and may react if they come too close.
His training has helped him improve significantly, and his recall is good. However, his reactivity has not disappeared. He needs an experienced handler who can recognise triggers, maintain safe distances and manage encounters responsibly. I will generally recall him if another dog approaches.
His new owner must be confident handling a strong dog, understand reactivity and be willing to continue working on it. This is an important consideration for anyone interested in Bruno.
🏠 BRUNO AND VISITORS
Bruno is not immediately comfortable with unfamiliar people entering his home and may bark because he feels unsure. He generally needs to meet people several times and become familiar with them before feeling comfortable.
He needs an experienced owner who can manage visitors safely, respect his boundaries and introduce new people gradually and responsibly.
👨👩👧 BRUNO AROUND CHILDREN
Bruno has been around a new baby and lived with my daughter, who was 9 when we got him. However, every household is different, and interactions with children must be carefully managed and supervised. His suitability for each home must be considered individually.
🐱 CATS AND OTHER ANIMALS
Bruno does not like cats, so he needs a cat-free home. His reactivity towards other dogs means any existing pets must be carefully considered, with safety and compatibility the priority.
🏡 WHAT HOME DOES BRUNO NEED?
We are looking for an experienced, committed owner who can offer: • Ideally, experience with German Shepherds, working breeds or reactive dogs. • Confidence handling a strong, energetic dog. • A cat-free home. • An understanding of dog reactivity and safe management around other dogs. • The ability to manage visitors responsibly. • Plenty of appropriate exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation. • A stable, loving home with clear boundaries and consistency. • A commitment to continuing his training and supporting his long-term wellbeing.
Bruno needs more than just a home. He needs someone patient who understands him and is committed to helping him thrive.
💉 HEALTH AND DAILY ROUTINE
Bruno is neutered, fully vaccinated, house trained and microchipped. He eats raw food twice daily. His microchip details will need updating for his new owner.
💷 £300 REHOMING FEE
We are asking for a £300 rehoming fee to help ensure Bruno goes to a committed owner who can provide for his needs, ongoing training and long-term care.
❤️ PLEASE READ BEFORE ENQUIRING
This decision has not been taken lightly. Bruno is a much-loved dog with so much affection to give, and we want his next home to be the right one.
We know he won't be suitable for everyone. We'd rather wait for the right match than rush into rehoming. We want someone who sees Bruno's wonderful qualities while fully understanding the support and management he still needs.
If you feel you could offer Bruno the loving, stable and experienced home he deserves, please message us with information about yourself, your experience with dogs and the home you could provide.
The right home is our priority. We want Bruno to have the happy future he deserves. ❤️🐾
