Meet Buddy,
He’s just turned 4, a pedigree beauty and has the daftest personality.
We will only let him go to a family who has experience with training to help him further develop or has beagle experience
Buddy truly deserves a home where someone is able to put the time and attention into training him and where he can share his life with a furry friend. He came from a home with two other dogs and they were unfortunately rehomed due to a house move. The owner agreed he would be fine without other dogs but we truly don’t feel he is completely happy on his own and feel there would be no cons if he had his pack. We are heartbroken to make this decision but we want to do what’s best for him and we’re not in the position to get another dog.
Pros:
Not your “typical beagle”
- Doesn’t roll in anything the garden or on walks
- Doesn’t steal food or tip the bin out to eat leftovers
- Can be left for 5/6 hours and over night no trouble
- Is trained to sit, come, wait, beg, in your bed
- Is the softest, most gentle boy with children
- Loves to play with other dogs
- Can go off the lead when he’s bonded with you
- Know not to go on the furniture or upstairs
- Doesn’t bark all the time, when the door goes or anything
- Doesn’t jump up
- Does the cutest beg motion when he wants your attention/ just to show off
Cons:
- Will sometimes make a whistling sound when you’re upstairs and he’s down but lays on the floor looking perfectly calm (dramatic)
- Needs some time to settle in and fully get used to the toilet routine. He’s had a couple of little wees in the house and he needs someone to get to the root cause
- Can be pulley on the lead but does well off
- Is desperate to interact and play with other dogs on a walk, not in the slightest bit aggressive
