Description
Paddy was found all alone in an olive orchard. He had a poorly eye and didn’t stand a chance of survival if not rescued. Likely abandoned as soon as he needed to see a vet, the usual Cretan story. Unwanted and thrown away. Luckily, he was taken to safety, and a vet visit and his eye is all sorted.
Paddy is 9 months of age; he is medium sized. He is neutered.
Please read Paddy’s Bio below.
Dog’s Name: Paddy
Arrival date: 6th October 2026
Where does Paddy sleep at night? Paddy sleeps in a crate next to our bed – he goes out like a light until morning 😊
How is Paddy with current pets? We have 3 small female dogs and Paddy has been great with them. He has been very sweet and submissive and not really bothered with them at all so far. We also have 2 cats who Paddy is fine with. He ignores the chickens, turkeys and budgies.
Is Paddy clean indoors? Yes, he is such a good boy. He goes to the door and asks to go out when he needs to.
Can Paddy be left alone? Yes, we have left Paddy for up to 2 hours with no problem at all. He is with our dogs and, as long as he has had a good walk, will just curl up and sleep until we get home.
Is Paddy out for walks? Yes, Paddy LOVES his walks and gets very excited when he sees his lead.
How does Paddy walk on the lead? Paddy is quite strong on the lead and does pull a little when he sees other people or dogs, as he is desperate to go and say hello. This will need some work, and he needs to learn that not everyone wants to say hello.
Has Paddy met other dogs? Paddy loves other dogs and wants to play with all of them.
How is Paddy with humans? Paddy is a super sweet and gentle soul. He LOVES people and is very affectionate. He is very confident and loves a fuss from anyone. On a walk, he will say hello to everyone. In the house, he likes to be close and loves sofa cuddles. Paddy loves my sons, who are aged 15and 18, and they in turn adore him. He is just perfect!! 😊
Have you noticed Paddy is afraid of any particular things? Paddy is incredible and is just taking everything in his stride. He has been great with general household noises such as the vacuum cleaner and my hairdryer. He has walked on quiet roads and has been fine with village traffic. He does bark if he sees people outside the house.
Any other useful information?
Paddy LOVES food!!! He will eat anything and everything. We are using a slow feeder to make meals last longer! He is still only a pup, so he is having a lunchtime snack. The kitchen is his favourite room in the house 😊. He does need discipline around food, as he thinks anything you are eating is also his!!
I think Paddy could live as an only dog but would need lots of doggie playdates to keep him well socialised. He would also enjoy the company of another dog. He can live with cats and any other animals.
Paddy is a very lively boy and is going to need lots of exercise, so would love a family who will take him for lovely long walks. He is very sociable and will love going out and about meeting people and dogs.
Paddy is very playful and loves rummaging through the doggy toybox. He will play tug and fetch. He enjoys chewing on a hoof or an antler. He also loves to grab anything he can and run off to his bed with it… he doesn’t chew it… just collects!!
Paddy is an absolute dream dog. He is funny, sweet, gentle and super cute. In a short space of time, he has absolutely stolen our hearts. Paddy has so much love to give. We are so excited that he will soon find his forever home and a family who will give him all the love and kindness that he deserves. Everyone needs a Paddy in their life… it is impossible not to smile when he is around! Good luck, gorgeous boy!! xx
If you are keen to adopt Paddy, he is in foster in Addlestone.
