Description
It is with a very heavy heart that we are looking to find a new home for our lovely 5-year-old cat. Due to significant changes in our family’s circumstances, including caring for two young siblings who have recently been diagnosed with cancer, we are unfortunately no longer able to provide the care and financial support she deserves.
She is a friendly, affectionate girl who enjoys spending time both indoors and outdoors. She loves attention and being around people and has been a much-loved member of our family.
She is microchipped and has been spayed (neutered), so she cannot have kittens.
She has recently lost weight after previously being overweight, which has left her with some loose skin around her tummy. She also has some hair thinning around her backside, back legs and the base of her tail. We have sought veterinary advice and have been told this is very likely due to a food allergy. Unfortunately, as she is an outdoor cat and often visits neighbouring gardens, we have been unable to identify the exact cause despite trying different foods.
She is not a big fan of other cats or dogs and can become quite stressed in those situations, so we feel she would be happiest as the only pet in the home. However, she absolutely adores children and has happily lived with a 4-year-old and two 8-year-olds. She is gentle, loving, and enjoys being part of a busy family environment.
We would love for her to go to a caring home where someone has the time and resources to continue investigating her dietary needs and give her all the love and attention she deserves. Her wellbeing is our absolute priority, and we are happy to answer any questions from potential adopters.
This is an incredibly difficult decision, so we are looking for a genuine forever home where she will be cherished as part of the family.
