Mahogany Red KC registered Labrador puppies raised at home in the Scottish Borders within shooting/Gundog country Now that Shelby’s puppies are 2 weeks old and beginning to toddle, eyes opening and starting to explore solids I felt it was time to find suitable homes for them. All puppies are a deep Mahogany red like their Sire, Icon. They are registered with Royal Kennel Club and will be vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked by the time they are 8 weeks and ready to fly the nest. These puppies will be suited to people and families who are active and keen on spending time outdoors, an interest in Gundogs and their training would be ideal but not a prerequisite (although Gundog training is transferable to most situations). These puppies, owing to their breeding, will be highly trainable and eager to learn, as they grow they’ll be desperate to form bonds and find common ground with their ‘people’. I imagine that these puppies will draw attention because of their unusual colour so do expect a bit of explaining when you are at the beach or in the pub. These puppies are so much more than their colour, Shelby has the trademark characteristics of the traditional Labrador, soft and gentle, calm yet eager to learn. Shelby’s tail is in constant motion waving from side to side, she’s never been the type to jump up but gently pushes her presence whenever you need it, a gentle head rested on your lap…she always wants to be near. Icon shares the gentle nature but is also full of drive an fun, if you think this boy is all about looks you couldn’t be further from the truth, he’s striking but when you meet him his presence and personality fills the room, he looks to his handler Lissy at Aglabs absolutely adoringly at all times and it’s a bond that anyone would only hope for with their dog, he is loyal and takes commands with quick authority, I’ve been watching Icon and his achievements from my socials since he was a puppy and it’s an absolute joy that he lived up to all my expectations and more when I got to meet him. Both Shelby and Icon are working dogs who are proven in the field and used upwards of 25 days during the season for picking-up/ peg work.
