Hello all, This is a male macaw (koko) that I recently ‘rescued’ from some people who had this beautiful bird however did not take good care of it. I paid for it quite a lot to take it away from these people because they bought it and did not know what they were getting Into. As you can see from the pictures, there is some feathers misssing from the chest area, this was due to the stress and loneliness he was experiencing at the previous owners. I have had koko for around 2 months and feathers are coming back. It is will take some time but we checked him out and as you can see too there is no irritation or any of that sorts. I am only going to sell him to serious candidates who have experience or the support of people who are experienced. The bird is around 4/5 years old so please consider that they live many many years. The macaw is very friendly, we take him outside in the sun, he is starting to step up on hands however that will take some more time because he needs to build trust. He says hello and some other words when he feels like it. Please only message if you are serious. I am open to offers, because I really care that he should go to a good home.
