Description

Stunning chunky working bred Labrador pups , traditional stamp. We own 5 generations of this line including grandma, grandad, mum, dad ,mums sister, and 3 great aunts and great grandma & grandad Available : 1 yellow girl , ,3 fox red girls & 1 fox red boy and 3 yellow boys .. technically they are all yellow but it helps if you’re looking for a foxy pup. Mum is a homebred yellow girl , she has a great personality , she is a very kind and biddable dog , with great drive for working and an excellent nose . She loves a cuddle and has a great smile ;) in the field she is steady and reliable and works well , equally she’s happy to pootle about and join us for Sunday lunch & curl up by the log burner , she’s best described as pet gundog . Dad is our fox red boy Anchor , he’s the best dog I’ve ever owned and I’ve had them for 40 years . He is well bred , both his parents are working bred and work regularly during the season along with his brother and his sister but they are also pets . Anchor is super intelligent, loyal and a very happy chap that loves everyone . He is kind and polite and always wants to please . He has great drive in the field and is beginning to work well in tests , and may start trialing ( for fun) next year .He is has a very trainable attitude and always wants to please . He is also a pub favourite and enjoys his Sunday dinners and all the attention he gets ! Grandad is a dark yellow / fox. His dad was an excellent gundog . He is a lovely traditional stamp of a Labrador , he is a very friendly and happy chap and although I don’t work him he will pick up happily . He is a truly lovely dog with a super disposition and he loves & plays with the puppies just as much as mum & dad Great grandma and grandad where working bred chunky traditional types with many field trial champion dogs in breeding including alot of DRAKESHEAD. Great Grandad was a brilliant gamekeepers dog & we lost him at 15 years young ❤️ great grandma was also a working gamekeeper dog and both steady and trustworthy around poults . Both great grandparents were truly multi purpose working dogs but also happy to sit in the pub when ever the opportunity arose . They were both kind & loving with steady natures great Grandma was lost at the age of 15 Grandma and her 3 sisters are great pets and working gundogs and are brilliantly socialised and love going beating and picking up during the season or just going for long walks & curling up round the fire . Never sick or sorry for themselves , with no health issues in the line of dogs , no hip, elbow, eye, skin problems, or allergies. Pups will make fantastic working dogs or pets . They are bold, confident with biddable lovely natures and naturally want to please making them easy to train . They will be steady & kind dogs . They are super chunky and I would expect them weighing in at around 6 to 8 kilos at 8 weeks old . We always try to give them a really good start . The puppies are used to people coming and going and are used to children of different ages , lots of different people , they are used to other dogs , lots of farm machinery , including diggers, dumpers, tractors & hearing chainsaws . They are also used to seeing and hearing horses every day. They will not be bothered by loud noises at all and have been brought up on our very busy working yard. Pups are KC registered and have had full worming programme , they will go with enough food to keep them going for a few days , and a toy smelling of their littermates . They will also be vet checked & microchipped . Please don’t be offended if I ask you lots of questions about your lifestyle , they must go to the best homes possible , if you work full time , have never had a dog before or have children under 2 years old our puppies are not for you . We love people with breed experience working or pet and welcome enquiries from people with other dogs as we feel this gives them a great start . In the past our pups have become great companions and pets , we have owners who train new guide dogs in their new homes , we had two puppies with local vets , some we meet in the pub lol , some in working homes who enjoy rough shooting and wildfowling , dogs that are picking up , working on a peg or beating , these pups will fit in to any outdoor lifestyle .. …. But anyone who lives in a flat with no garden need not enquire . I have uploaded the maximum amount of photos and videos , there are a few videos of the pups , photos of mum dad and grandad and some pictures of other dogs in our gang which are all related . We love to keep in touch with owners and have lots of visits every year from our lovely owners , and some have become really good friends . We are always happy to do some training as the puppies grow and give advice at any time & I have people coming regularly for training sessions so if your local that’s great . Equally we have dogs in France and the Isle of Man & we do FaceTime training sessions with them . If you’re looking for a healthy chunky outgoing pup that’s not nervous or timid with excellent breeding from a strong line , our pups are for you .
