Sometimes, a rescue begins with a little face that keeps appearing… and a loving soul who cannot keep walking past. 🥹❤️ Beautiful Sissy was living on a street near our friend Ana-Maria, who is a vet. Whenever Ana-Maria passed, Sissy would seek her out for a stroke and a little affection. Wandering without a home of her own, this lovely girl still wanted to be close to people. 🐈💞 An elderly lady kindly left food for her on top of a gas meter box. That kindness helped keep her fed, but Sissy still had no safe place to call home, no comfortable bed waiting for her and no family to belong to. 💔 Ana-Maria initially took Sissy into her care intending to have her spayed and then return her to the area where she had been living. However, after Sissy had been anaesthetised, Ana-Maria noticed a tattoo showing that she had already been spayed. We do not know how Sissy came to be on the streets or what her earlier life was like. But Ana-Maria could not bring herself to put such an affectionate girl back outside. Instead, she kept her safe, hoping to find her the loving home she deserves. 🏡❤️ And that is where Sissy’s next chapter begins… perhaps with you. 🥰 🌸 ABOUT SISSY 🌸 🐾 Female 🎂 Date of birth: 1 November 2022 🐈 Domestic Shorthair 🎨 Beautiful grey tabby, cream and white markings 💚 Lovely, expressive green eyes ✂️ Already spayed ❤️ Affectionate and keen to receive attention Sissy has such a pretty face, with delicate cream markings, a white chest and lovely white paws. Her photographs show her resting on the veterinary counter and being held close in Ana-Maria’s arms while receiving gentle strokes. 🤗💕 But the most touching part of her story is how she kept asking for affection while living outside. Food mattered, of course, but so did the people who stopped to notice her. Now she has the chance to find someone who will be there for her every day. ❤️ 🏡 SISSY’S IDEAL HOME 🏡 We are looking for a loving, permanent home where Sissy will be welcomed as a cherished family companion. A home with comfortable places to rest, opportunities to play and explore safely, and people who enjoy sharing their lives with a cat. 🛋️🐾 Her new family should allow her time to settle at her own pace. Even an affectionate cat needs patience while getting used to unfamiliar rooms, sounds and routines. A quiet space at first, gentle attention and a predictable routine will help her feel secure. 💗 👧 Any children in the home must be aged 10 or over and able to respect her space. 🐶🐱 Her suitability for living with other cats or dogs will need to be discussed with Ana-Maria before we agree a match. We have not yet been given enough information to confirm this. 🌿 Her home must offer a safe environment, with secure windows and any outdoor access carefully considered. Any garden space intended for her should be securely enclosed and suitable for a cat. Above all, Sissy needs someone ready to make a lifelong commitment, through the easy days and any challenges that may come along. 🫶 🩺 HEALTH & PREPARATION 🩺 Sissy is already spayed and is being cared for by Ana-Maria, her veterinary rescuer. Her vaccination, microchip and relevant testing records will be confirmed and discussed with prospective adopters, together with any preparation needed before she travels. 📋🐾 🤝 OUR PROMISE & YOUR COMMITMENT 🤝 When you adopt through Friends InDeed, our support does not end when your new companion arrives.
