🐾 Looking for a very special home for our gorgeous Wilbur 🐾 This is an incredibly difficult post to write, but due to a change in our circumstances we have made the heartbreaking decision to find Wilbur a new home. Wilbur is a gorgeous 6-month-old Shih-Poo (Shih Tzu × Toy Poodle). His dad was a Toy Poodle and his mum was a small Shih Tzu, so he will remain a relatively small dog when fully grown. He really is the sweetest little boy. 🤍 Wilbur has been brought up in a busy family home with three young children and another dog, so he is extremely well socialised. He absolutely loves people, children and other dogs and is happiest simply being part of family life. He currently comes pretty much everywhere with us — he is brilliant in the car, loves coming along to cafés and days out and is very used to being out and about. He walks beautifully on a lead and is also great off lead, although he does love to go over and say hello to other dogs, so we tend to pop him back on his lead when passing them. He is pretty much fully toilet trained, sleeps all the way through the night and eats really well. He isn’t crate trained as he has always been very much part of the family. He sleeps in our bedroom on his own little bed, although he does love coming up for morning cuddles. 🥹 He doesn’t require huge amounts of exercise — around a 30-minute walk a day, alongside playing in the garden and pottering around with you, absolutely tires him out. Wilbur is currently rarely left for longer than around two hours, so we would really love to find him a home where somebody is around a good amount of the time. A home with another friendly dog would be our preference, as he absolutely loves canine company. This decision has been made purely because our circumstances have changed and our life has become incredibly busy. Wilbur deserves a home where he can continue to have the time, company and attention that he is used to. There is absolutely no rush to rehome him. Finding the right person/family is far more important to us than finding a home quickly, and we will be very particular about where he goes. He will only go to a loving, permanent home where we feel completely comfortable that he will be adored and treated as part of the family. 🤍 Please message me if you are genuinely interested and can tell me a little bit about yourself, your home, any other pets you have and what Wilbur’s day-to-day life would look like. 🐾 Wilbur — 6 months old | Shih Tzu × Toy Poodle | Small breed | Loving family home essential 🐾
