This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. After much thought, we’ve made the heartbreaking decision to find our beautiful girl, Rhubarb, the perfect forever home. Rhubarb came to us as a rescue alongside another guinea pig. Sadly, shortly after arriving, her companion became very poorly and passed away from pneumonia. Our older guinea pig also contracted the illness and, despite treatment and initially improving, she sadly passed away too. Through it all, Rhubarb has remained completely healthy and has shown no signs of illness. Now, sadly she finds herself alone. As much as we adore her, we’ve realised that what she truly needs is a home with other guinea pigs to bond with. We also know that our circumstances are changing, with us travelling more in the future, and we want to do what’s best for her rather than what’s easiest for us. We’re looking for a very special home where Rhubarb will:  🐹 Live with other friendly female guinea pigs (or appropriately bonded companions).  🌿 Have a large, enriching enclosure with plenty of space to explore - not simply a cage.  ❤️ Be loved by someone experienced and knowledgeable about guinea pig care.  🥬 Receive the very best diet, enrichment and veterinary care if ever needed. We are in absolutely no rush. Rhubarb will only leave us when we’ve found the right home. We’d love to keep in touch with whoever adopts her and receive the occasional update so we know she’s happy and thriving.
