1-Year-Old Female Eclectus Parrot – Experienced Home Wanted Beautiful 1-year-old female Eclectus parrot looking for a knowledgeable and experienced new home. She was hand-raised and remains tame, although since reaching sexual maturity she can bite hard and her temperament can be unpredictable. She is generally quieter and more settled in an aviary environment, without overt aggression, but can be protective of her nest box, which is typical breeding behaviour. She has successfully raised clutches and shows a strong desire to breed, making her potentially well suited to an experienced breeder with a suitable aviary setup. She can be lovely with male handlers, although this is not always consistent.Fresh fruit and vegetables should form the main part of her diet, with limited nuts and seeds. She also happily eats quality pellets as a supplement. Ideal home:Experienced Eclectus or large-parrot keeper, or an established breeder with a suitable aviary environment.She is looking for a knowledgeable home that understands Eclectus behaviour and can provide the appropriate space, diet, care and handling she needs.
